Launching her creative vision 7 years ago with Belly Beautiful  Fine Art Maternity & Infant Portraits, Karen Marie’s artistic ability to capture a look, a moment or feeling has led her to become one of the premier photographers in California. Her work has been featured on news stations, magazine covers as well as being used to set themes for major foundation events. Karen’s experiences and overwhelming success in Maternity and Infant Portraits has led her to the start of a new vision... Starlet Photography!

The idea to pursue this type of art came along when a mother-to-be walked into Karen’s studio with a vintage hair style and a love for PinUp. Karen immediately thought of all the fun they could have with a PinUp, Maternity Session. The portraits turned out amazing to say the least! At that point Karen also realized that this would be something fun and exciting for moms that wanted to come back for playful and edgier images. Not only did this new art turn out to be a huge hit with the maternity and newborn moms but it has also turned into the ultimate "girls night out" party experience where all women can become a Starlet for a night!

The biggest direction behind Starlet Photography has been to create a stunning and provocative, fresh look to this old school, vintage art.
